MBBS and AYUSH medical graduates in Maharashtra have a wide range of government job opportunities in 2026, driven by the state's ongoing expansion of public healthcare infrastructure under NHM, DMER, and Arogya Vibhag programmes.

NHM Maharashtra (National Health Mission) is the most prolific recruiter of Medical Officers in the state. MBBS graduates are recruited as Medical Officers for Primary Health Centres (PHCs), Urban Primary Health Centres (UPHCs), Sub-district Hospitals, and District Hospitals.
